These are my favorites foundations for 2019. Over the Year I tried out a variety of high end and drugstore ones. There were more that I liked, but I tried to break down the list, to only the ones I used on a regular basis.
Furthermore, I will go into the coverage, wearable and all the important factors that you need to know. Let’s begin…
Dior Backstage Face And Body
I think it is fair to say, that this is by far my favorite of the year. Dior came out with The Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation and it turned out to be the best thing ever. It even won The Elle International Beauty Awards 2019. See my video about this foundation here.
It has medium coverage, but you can build it up nicely if you desires to have more coverage. And when you do, you will experience no cakey feeling. It blends in like a dream (using my Real Techniques Setting Brush) and actually makes my skin looks dewy and natural. I love the fact that it’s lightweight. And that all for a foundation that stays on for hours without any touched ups.
Keep in mind that The Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation comes in a squeezable plastic tube and not in a glass bottle. But this doesn’t take off the flamboyance of it. It still looks very luxurious. I find it very handy, easy for travel and durable. It retails around €41,- and comes in 40 different shades.
Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear
Ok, I need to be honest and tell you guys that I have been using this foundation for years. Watch here my first impression video. And because I love it so much, ( also in 2019) I just needed to put it on this list. The Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear is a beautiful full coverage foundation.
I like to apply it with my beauty blender. Because the foundation is heavier, I can really blend the foundation seamlessly into my skin. And it catches up all extra foundation.
Whenever I use this foundation, I don’t bother to color correct my skin. This Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation does the job for me. It hides everything and gives you the most perfect base. Lancome says the foundation is wearable for 24 hours without any touchups. I must say I didn’t wear it that long, but I wore it for several hours at a wedding and it stayed on perfectly. And I love to use it on my brides that desire the full glam look. It not only stays on seamlessly but looks absolutely amazing in photos.
The glass bottle is beautiful and luxurious. The cap has a Lancome rose on it which is a nice detail. I love that it comes with a pump, and believe me 2 pumps are more than enough. The color range is absolutely amazing, 40 different shades. The Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation retails around €48,-.
Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless
The only drugstore foundation I have in my 2019 foundation favorite list. There are several other drugstore foundations that I like. But most of these, I’m using for years. Like L’oreal True Match foundation is for years my number 1 go-to drugstore foundation.
So, I was quite excited to give The Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation (take a breath after saying it) a try! It is a medium coverage foundation with a matte finish. Without feeling like you have a mask on. It blends in like a dream using my Real Technique Settings Brush.
It suits every skin type from normal to oily skin. I love the formula that includes micro powders which help minimalize pores from not peaking through. But still, it feels lightweight and sits nicely on the skin. And it looks natural. Which is always a good thing. You can build it up, but I don’t do that cause I love the amount of coverage it gives with just 1 single layer.
The packaging is good enough, a tube. Be careful when applying pressure. Things can get messy! I wish it came with a pump. But with its affordable price, you can’t get everything.
The Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation comes in a large variety of shades. And retails for €9,95.
Clarins SOS Primer
I know what you guys are thinking, this is not a foundation. And you are right, it isn’t. But I’m using it as a foundation or more like a bb cream. The SOS Clarins Primer was my go-to the entire summer. You can read my complete review here.
Because I don’t wear or minimalized the use of foundation in my summer makeup routine, I started using The Clarins SOS Primer as my base. And I freaking love it. It is lightweight, gives me enough coverage, correct and camouflages my imperfections. And then that glow, that is the best-sunkissed glow that you can ask for.
It comes in a variety of 7 different shades. And I like to use this one. Which enhances the deep skin tone. But I’ve been told by the Clarins PR that even on a lighter skin tone it wears beautifully.
The packaging is a tube but with a pump. That is amazing! The blending goes on easily just use your fingers or our desired blending tool. Further, it retails for around €35,-.
Givenchy Teint Couture Everwear
And to finish off the list. We have The Givenchy Teint Couture Everwear Foundation. A foundation that Givenchy says it has medium coverage. But I don’t agree with this at all. I find it quite full coverage. You can read a more detailed review here.
And Like we are used to by any Givenchy products, Also The Teint Couture Everwear Foundation screams out luxury. The foundation bottle is elegant and chic. And also this one comes with a pump.
It has the most beautiful finish and blends in easily. Like I mentioned earlier I do think it’s a full coverage foundation. Similar to The Lancome Teint Idole Wear, but more matter. Sits nicely for several hours on the skin. Perfect for a full glam look.
In terms of shade colors, Givenchy doesn’t disappoint us. The price range is what higher and retails for around €52,-
