Like I said, Yes it does! Pleats can make you appear bigger than you are. But you just need to find one, that fits your body shape and personal style the best. I consider myself a very honest and straight forward person when it comes down to my weight. I know that I’m phat, and it doesn’t really matter what I’m wearing. Cause I’m still gonna be phat. Of course, I want to look cute and wear things that flatter my body, but in the end, I’m still gonna be phat! You see, whatever I wear, people are still gonna see that I’m a bigger person. I can wear in my eyes the most perfect and cute outfit but looks like a disaster through someone else eyes. Do you feel me? Do you see my point of view?

Can I wear a pleated skirt if I have a tummy?
Of course, you can! Do what you feel is right for you! There is no reason to shy away from wearing anything just because of your bigger tummy. I have a big tummy too, and I still wear pleated skirts. Here are a couple of tips and tricks that have worked for me.
- Pull your skirt to the smallest part of your waistline. It gives the illusion that your waist is way smaller than it actually is.
- Wear a belt, They always created shape and illusion of being smaller. Here is an example
- Wear fitted undergarments. Spanx can be your best friend. And this is even something that small women also wear. There’s nothing wrong with some little help from time to time, to help you keeps things on his place and tight! Even if you don’t like to wear Spanx, you can still invest in proper underwear and fitted bra’s. A good bra can immediately change the way you walk, stand, look and feel! Believe me, I’ve been there!
